The Kimpton Fitzroy (previously known as The Russell Hotel) has been a feature of the Bloomsbury neighbourhood since the 19th century. 

You can feel its long prestigious history permeating your surroundings the minute you step past the terracotta facade. 

Marble surfaces surround you and the original zodiac mosaic in the foyer is breathtaking.

How do you get to The Kimpton Fitzroy?

The Kimpton Fitzroy Hotel is easy to access. 

The venue is situated next to Russell Square tube station which provides access to Kings Cross St Pancreas, the Eurostar, and Heathrow Airport.

If any of your guests are travelling by car, the closest parking is at NCP London Brunswick Square or NCP London Bloomsbury Square. 

The hotel is within the London congestion zone so there’s a £15 charge for driving in the area between 07:00 and 22:00. 

The closest airports to the hotel are London City Airport (30 minutes by taxi) and Heathrow (45 minutes by taxi). 

Is the Kimpton Fitzroy Hotel licensed for weddings? 

The ballroom at the Kimpton Fitzroy is fully licensed for civil wedding ceremonies with Camden Registry Office. 

You simply need to coordinate a date for celebrations with the hotel and the Registrar. 

Following the exchange of vows, you and your guests can toast your love in the Palm Court.

What does a wedding at Kimpton Fitzroy London cost?

You can expect to pay from £185 per person with a minimum of 80 guests for a wedding at Kimpton Fitzroy Hotel. 

You may be able to secure a discounted room block booking if you’re planning a big celebration.

The breathtaking ballroom at The Kimpton Fitzroy was restored to its original grandeur as part of an £85 million refurbishment completed in 2018. 

The result is a spectacular venue where you and your partner can exchange vows. 

The original architectural details are still present, including a mezzanine gallery. 

And they now have a fresh glisten to them that creates a truly magical space. 

The Grade II heritage-listed ballroom has a maximum capacity of 200 seated guests with full staging. 

You also get access to the adjoining Palm Court which has its own terrace and indoor winter garden. 

It’s the perfect space for cocktails after your wedding ceremony. 

Plus, the venue has eight other light and airy event spaces that can be used for pre or post-wedding activities.
